It seems his problem is that he can't boot either of his hard drives 
anymore.  I don't see how disabling or enabling floppy boot would effect 
this.

I'm wondering if he's checked to see if the system can boot from a bootable 
floppy disk.

I'm not familiar with the F12 > Low density floppy disk thing.  As I wrote 
previously, I wonder if the BIOS on the 50 could just be upgraded with the 
file available on the Toshiba support site to fix the problem.
