Subject: [LIB] - L70 no power after hot undocking from EPR?

Hi,

I'm sure I'm not the first person this happened to - but I can't find any
web page or
archive listing the problem - never mind a solution.

I have a L70 and managed to pick up an enhanced port replicator a year or
so back.
All was well until I failed to power down the L70 before undocking.
(The manual warns you not to do this - but it's all too easy ...)

Now my libretto works fine on the EPR when docked - (power is then supplied
from the normal PSU via the EPR through the base connection) ---
but the regular side power-in socket no longer powers up the machine,
and it seems that the battery is not charging in either configuration.

I have split the battery pack (tougher than I expected) and checked the
internal themal
fuse and all seems well there

So I assume I have blown a fuse or transistor within the L70.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Fixes (I'm fairly competent with a soldering iron) or repair services (in UK?)?

regards
        Paul
