Most people get >measurable difference in battery time in favour of W95 (yes, this might be >only due to the fact that W98 in "heavier" but when I tried W98 I noticed >WinAmp skip for a while every time the screen went off after timeout and >that was it for me :)). Anybody tried W98 in APM mode? Okay... Advanced Power Management in W98 is a little funky... and is famous for working on some systems and not. I've never had problems on my Libs, but know several people who couldn't get hibernation to work on their desktops. It seems like it does manage to find and activate hibernation in my L70 BIOS, as when I use it to set it to put my system into Standy, it makes the system hibernate (there was a distinction made between the two terms) after a set timeout. The power management is not as extensive as it is in the Toshiba power management, which controls power to the LCD and HDD as you probably know. Why you can set Standy to 1 minute, and set the HDD and display for 1 hour has always been beyond me.
