Fortunately I didn't find it necessary to get any solvents. I'd envisioned a lot more surface area of a lot stickier adhesive than what I actually found when I got in there. There were three perhaps 3/8" blue pads in there that were the stickiest. But afre pulling the majority of it off, I found I could just polish the rest away pretty well. There were two clear plastic strips apprx. 1" long that had an adhesive whose residue polished away. I left the adhesive where it was that the black mylar sheet was stuck on with, and just reattached the mylar where it had been. Decided it was time to do the operation when I was transferring 4GB odd files at 10MBps from the 50CT to a desktop, and then desktop to 70CT. I picked up the 50CT after more than an hour, and the bottom was HOT!! from the Xircom combo modem that I've been told runs hot. That prompted me to do the surgury to the 70CT with the 9.mm drive before I sat it down to download everything. I'm new at much networking. Can anyone tell me what you need to go to 100MBps transfer. I was using a network crossover cable to connect the Libs to the desktop, which I understand is limited to 10MBps. In CA I have a 4 cable box (called?? ...not a router). Is this, or a router and straight-through network cables what gets the 100MBps transfer? Or is something else needed?
