pFrank.com I thnk is the site where they have the purple hardware
sharewear project ;-) basickly they have pPlugs for the garmins and you
make your own cables. I scored 4 plugs for 10 bucks.. The thing is you
send you pFrank an email and tell him how many pPlugs you want and how
much you will pay him for them if you like them.. If you don’t like them
don’t pay them.. Or as I did I gave 20 bucks cause they rock... Anyway I
should write up a how to but its already out there.. Just check out the
gps joe's website. Youll find everything you wanted to know about gps

I use the Garmin etrex (the cheapest version - around $100 new). You'll
also need the etrex-to-serial-port cable (another $20). It's small, has
its own (tiny) display, *and* you can upload and download from SA to the
etrex (e.g. plot a route in SA, then upload to the etrex - handy if you
want something even smaller/sturdier than your Lib to bring along - say,
on a bicycle trip during wet weather.)
