[T] Ah, well I'm ahead of you there .. I've been wearing stockings and suspenders ever
since the wife found some in the glove compartment of our car? (told her they were
mine..)

[T] Ah, when I said 'PC' I *meant* another Laptop (phew, I think I got away with that
one!)

[T] Ah .. "Dear Sir, I won't be buying your 50CT after all due to an oversight ... "

[T] Well of course I don't *know* that .. I'm a newbie and non "Libretterati" aren't I
... It's a 'Carrydisk' unit if that means anything to you guys?

[T] I knew that! <shrug?>

[T] Ok, well it's a Toshiba HDD2144 which as we all know has 12416 cyls, 15 heads and
of course 63 sectors / track? ("15 heads?" .. sounds like a bit of translation going
on here?)

[T] Didn't even try .. I'll do it later ..

[T] Hmm, ok .. after I got the replies re the position of the 3.5>2.5 adapter (thanks
guys) I popped into a std 5.24" removable drive tray in my P .. em ..er .. big Laptop
(phew) and booted from a W98 'boot' floppy. I then broke the drive into a Pri of 4G
(Fat32) and Ext of 1.5G and created a 1G and 500M Logical drives within that (all
F32). Then after formats etc I copied the Win95 folder from the CD to the E:\Win95. (
I read that you can create the C:\Windoze\option\cabs but what if you trash C:?)

[T] On that point .. will I need a boot disk with "Card and socket services" or a
"point enabler" to 'see' a PCMCIA CDROM (Amacom 24X) or are we saying the 'donor' HDD
swap method gets round the need for all that (ie, Install 95 and the CDRom will be
supported)? Also I assume the Lib can support the PCMCIA FDD as a Bios supported
device? (and should I check to see it's running V6.6?)
