I've managed to install a 20GB disk into my Libby 70CT, but had
a few problems with setting up the right partitions.
I had data on the disk that I didn't want to overwrite at
first, but had to copy the data to another disk,
then reformat the 20GB disk in the Libretto, and then create
the other partitions above 8GB. I managed eventually to do this
by using Ranish Partition Manager.
I think I published what I did on the list at teh time..
sometime September 2001, me thinks..
I now have a problem setting up a 20GB disk in my Portege...
This is a new disk, unformated etc.
I can get my CD drive recognised in DOS, but it causes a
conflict with the PCMCIA floppy drive I am using at IRQ 24..
which then leaves the floppy inaccessible.. so I thought, OK,
lets install WIN95 on the hard disk from floppy only.. after
lots of disk swapping this was achieved,
but I now can't use my full win98se cd to update the darn
thing.. Win98se complains that there is already an operating
system installed and I need the upgrade
software to do what I want to do.. does anybody know a way
around this, other than starting from scratch with reformating
the disk,
and loading Win98se from a different computer, or buying a
separate upgrade CD?
