A lot of the time people will click on the hyperlink in your first post with the URL, check out the site, but then delete the message, and thus loose the URL Also, from my experiences at creating and maintaining a site that centered on specific musical form, and maybe you know this, I found that you really have to do it for the love of it more than anything else. Many people will appreciate the work, but you'll find that you'll get relatively little feedback on it all. Don't expect people to be bowled over with any site until it actually provides content and services that are indispensable. If you list your site on all of the major web engines, and post the URL to everywhere you find an appropriate spot on the net, eventually youll build up your own audience. Youve got to have a passion for the work though, and just enjoy the work for doing it, and for the info it gets out to people. The rewards for the thousands of people that start up websites are few, at least until the ball starts to roll. I maintained my site for 2.5 years intensively, but came to the conclusion that the subject matter was just too obscure, and my work too incomplete, and the effort to keep up just didnt make all the effort worth it. I maintain the files for the occasional person who stumbles on something of worth to them via a web search. An occasionally someone posts a nice note from the site. Again, I think a few good pages on various OS installation procedures for Librettos, and written up procedures for installing a >8GB HDD could be really useful to people. Though I havent checked Davids adorable website recently to see if hes covered these yet. It may be a good idea just to start asking people on this list what theyre like to see on a new Libretto website. Good luck!
