It's okay. Still kinda slow even over a fast T3 connection at work, so modem
users are probably hurting with all those unoptimzed images and scripting.

Because there isn't much there at all besides a pretty picture, can't say if
it's worth going on or not yet, right? After all, you will only know after
you've got more stuff up.

As for potential interest, there's about 800 or so members in this Libretto
Mailing List, and many more throughout the world that own Librettos. eg. Just
one look at ebay.com shows a healthy amount of traffic for this non-mainstream
laptop. Also, thousands of Japanese owners happily chatting away on their
Japanese groups everyday (just too bad there isn't an automatic bi-directional
translator and repost service....).

My site still gets a good amount of visitors every day, so there is interest
in all of the models, esp. since Toshiba does have the latest L1-L3 models out
in Japan.

So, long-term, you'll have to decide what sort of focus and coverage you'll
want and if you're willing to spend month after month (year after year for us
diehards ;), chatting and writing about the Librettos.

While there's a lot of duplication of certain information like specs and so
forth across all Libretto-related websites, each does have its own unique focus
and attributes that make them enjoyable to visit.

In any case, you've got to be serious about it or its just a waste of time if
you're gonna drop it in a few months.

Everyone else can go visit my new Digital Camera website: Photogenic!

  http://www.silverace.com/photogenic/

Tips, tricks, reviews and more for the digital camera user!

  --------------

BTW, if anyone's wondering why the Photogenic site looks so pretty and the
Libretto website is to plain-text, here's why:

  1) Libretto website is kept all-in-one-page as much as possible and 640 pixel
width for easy downloading to the HD or printing for off-line review, and for
easy viewing on the 640 pixel width screens of many Librettos.

There's only three main pages to download, MAIN, OVERCLOCKING, & FAQ, so
monthly visitors who want to save to HD or Print out and run can do so quickly
w/o worrying about did I miss something.

Other parts are optional, like the pictures of various Libretto keyboards as
well as the exploded parts diagram (only needed for ordering parts or taking
apart the Libretto).

Besides, it's already big enough with all those links to other sites, and
graphics would make it load far too slowly.

  2) The photogenic website is for the higher-bandwidth, eye-candy users out
there who are willing to wait a bit longer to view nice looking graphics (it's
a photography website after all!) Because each issue is introducing something
new, and hopefully, readers will have remembered the important lessons of prior
issues, no point in making it easy to download -- once you've learned
something, you don't need to go back months later sorta philosophy.
And because it's a making better pictures website, the site itself need to
look pretty and all.
Designed for modern 800x600 desktop/laptop users since very, very few
users in general use 640x480 today - targeting the bigger non-Libretto-only
crowd.
