You could try Freecom - their Traveller I CDROM was re-badged as 
Toshiba's Libetto 1x0CT CDROM drive.  I've got two - a Traveller I Lite 
(connects via PCMCIA) and a Traveller II CDRW (PCMCIA & USB).  Both have 
DOS drivers, both work with the original Toshiba recovery diskette, and 
both can use different cables (USB, PCMCIA, USB II, Firewire, parallel, 
etc).
