I bought this drive, on David's recommendation, for my L100 (W98se) and it has worked flawlessly, nary a coaster yet. It has copied music CDs, written and rewritten data CDRs, and ripped. It's used primarily in Cardbus mode, but it has been run in 16-bit with no problems. Can the media brand maybe be a cause of write errors?
