Thought I'd jump in here while things are quiet and ask if anyone knows if it's possible to write a DOS batchfile that can be started from a Windows icon, and not leave an open DOS window? Does anyone know if there's a command that will close the DOS window at the end of the batchfile? Or possibly one to run the file without opening a DOS window at all? Alas, I think I'm saying farewell to my trusty MusicMatch 4.0 MP3 software. It started when I began ripping high fidelity MP3s using VBR with Exact Audio Copy and the newest Lame encoder. MM4.0 can't seem to calculate the track times for VBR encoded MP3s. I downloaded MM6.0 after an exhausting search for a copy, but this L70 just doesn't have enough umph to run it. So I'm switching back to WinAmp with a copy of WenSoftware "Music Libray" as a front end. It has a lot of useful features. One in particular besides handine VBR well is to find errors in playlists after a filename or path has been changed. I'm forever cleaning up filenames and organizing folders in my MP3 library, so that's a particularly handy tool.
