I found it helpful to look at the plastic case latches on the left side 
inside of the battery cavity.  You can see how the top and bottom halves are 
joined.  The bottom half has a tab that sticks up and over the top half, and 
has a slot on its backside.  The top have has a protrusion that snaps into 
that slot.  I usually start at that corner and work my way around the case.  
If you push the top half to the left (facing the screen), and the bottom to 
the right, they will unlock.

There's another latch set to the left of the speaker output jack (facing the 
rear of the Libretto.  And another one (or two... I forget... I think only 
one) on the right side of the batter cavity (facing the screen).
