Subject: Re: [LIB] USB Card AND screen brightness util

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much to all those who offered to help and send me the Off
Topic file that I needed to get my Nokia Bleutooth card working in my
Cassiopeia Pocket PC. It is working fine after I managed to get the
driver installed.

Someone mailed me in response to my post to ask whether I had found any
utility to adjust the screen's brightness on my Libretto since
installing Win 98. Yep, I have found and excellent little application
from www.fixup.net called 'setlcd'. It works under the Dos prompt and
allows one to set the LCD to one of three levels of brightness. I
normally keep mine on the least bright, since I am never sure when I
will be using my libby away from a power source. The program requires a
reboot each time that one changes the settings. I have noticed that the
screen is brighter on external power, and then dims when on batteries.
It works great for me!

Now I need to try and find something similar for Windows XP.

Regards,

Dion
