That's a problem. Maybe a short with the cabling? However, if the Libr runs
fine, you may or may not find it worth the trouble to find out where the
cabling is bad. Should only be on when the system is on.

You're not mistaking it for the Power Light, right? ,)

Same here. It should fit a 9.5mm fine, but if you're really worried, you can
go in and remove the spacers, if any. I've got my Hitachi 20GB running a year
in mine with a very tight squeeze in, but it's been through a drop, a few
bumps, lots of use and is still running just fine here. Mileage will vary, so
take the spacers out if you don't want to mess with it later.

Should be fine 100%. It has nothing to do with the Lib or card if you're
burning DVDs - most will have buffer underrun protection, and even with a
slower Lib, you will be able to burn DVDs just fine.

As for playing them back, see the Libretto Mailing List archives -- just
plain not fast enough IMO for super nice DVD playback.

You'll see 3-4 hours depending on screen brightness settings and so forth on
average. Scarry how long the itsy battery lasts vs. the other normal sized
laptops others have, and it's a wonder it can run so long.

I only wished they'd update the Libretto with a super-low voltage Pentium 4
or Crusoe CPU running even lower power drain and we'd get a VHS case sized 8
hour+ 2lbs Libretto! and I'd be very, very happy! Those new L1-L5 Librettos
really aren't 'Librettos' anymore because they're so BIG.
