works for me.. clean w2k install, adaptec aspi layer installed using
install.bat x86, tested using their included aspi examiner, and all 4 items are installed fine.

Hmmm... that's W2K... But for mt W98 system the ASPI tester only comes up with 2 files when I run it. Indicating that those 2 old v4.60 files are still on my system, and replaced by new ones.

So you're test showed that the files WINASPI.DLL and ASPIENUM.VXD are on your system, and that they are both verison 4.71... right?

And the checker reported all these four files as set up correctly and all v4.71?:

WINASPI.DLL
ASPIENUM.VXD
APIX.VXD
WNASPI32.DLL

Could you send me copies of your WINASPI.DLL and ASPIENUM.VXD files David? I'll just drop them into their folders and then run the checker to see if it's happy.

Thanks,

Matt
