I'm considering getting one of these Toshiba MK4018GAS 40GB HDDs, as I see them for sale on Pricewatch for as little as $112USD now with shipping.
Well, I haven't been using it that much. I use my 110ct everyday, and my work is too critical, so I kept the original HD. But I just bought on eBay a very nice 100ct 'with loads of extras', which I will receive tomorrow, and will be dedicated to tests, fun... I guess I'll use the 40GB then.
Okay... terrific. I've got to believe that there's not much else out there at this price that can perform better in most ways than this Tosh HDD. But it's always good to get a few fidderenf opinions. With the L100 clocked to 266 now, a faster HDD would be really nice too. That is if the Lib can take the heat.
