Sadly, after a while on this list, mostly lurking, I've moved on to bigger and faster things. My Libretto 110CT has already been sold, and I'm slowly transitioning to a Mac, via the new 12" Powerbook. Since I know that comparisons come up at times, here's my take on the mini-Powerbook: 1) It's not mini. It's as large as I anticipated, and while it's compact, it's still at least double the size, and more than double the weight, of a 110. However, it *is* small. 2) I can type again. I had forgotten how horribly I typed on the Libretto, and have rapidly improved since moving onto a nearly-full sized keyboard. 3) Peripherals are no longer an issue. With built-in USB, Firewire, Bluetooth, 802.11g, a modem *and* Fast Ethernet, the lack of a PCMCIA/Cardbus slot doesn't bother me. While it may sound like I'm becoming a shill for Apple, I had my own reasons, many of them related to my UNIX background and the overall application support in Mac OS X. The part that I'll never really get used to, though, is the portability. I still feel that the 100/110 form factor is ideal for a great many tasks. However, the system itself just can't handle the kind of work that I end up subjecting my laptops to, and the Powerbook just managed to cram in the most features for the best price.
