It's not used often, but when you need to boot the Libretto, it's the only way if you're installing a new OS that's reasonably easy. (The other is to pull the HD and make it bootable in another PC.) --- www.csd.toshiba.com or your local country's Toshiba website should have the electronic documentation for your Libretto for download.
