Subject: First problems to solve (100CT & Win98SE)

I am trying to put the second on the first, having no diskette
drive and no CD drive pour the Libretto 100CT; I do everything
I can by swapping his hard disk to then from an other old portable
Toshiba (Satellite 220CDS), for which I have the readers...

If I can go like that, I will try not to buy those peripherals,
prefering other conduits or media like cable ethernet, wifi
ethernet, PCMCIA CF adaptor, IR, Firewire?, USB?...

My first question: how is it necessary (or just convenient) to
fdisk the 10 Go IBM Travelstar I plan to use? I have read some
texts about some free space necessary, and may be two partitions
will be more easy to manage if any problem occurs?
Same question if I continue to use the original 2 Go hard disk.

My second question: how can I improve the monitor settings?
At this time, I cannot get better than 640x480 and 16 colors,
with two large black vertical unused stripes on each side.
I had no success trying to install the vide 100 driver found at
http://www.amherst.co.uk/libfiles.htm

Thank you, and sorry for my poor engish...
