So, I'm trying to set up my L70 to predominantly play mp3s, read text and PDF files, and function as a PIM. I curently have mandrake 8.1 installed, using XFree 4.2,and the XFS file system. Unfortunately, with the exception of QNX, which doesn't recognize the soundcard, netcard, or pcmcia cdrom, nothing boots up and runs nearly as fast as I hope it would. I've tried playing with various Embedded Linux solutions, but alas, I just don't know enough linux, C, Java, or assembly. What I would really like is a setup that was fully up and running asap after powering up. Any recommendations? (anyone know of any embedded environments like Qtopia and such ported to the x86 structure?) -Clarence "The Mechanic" Harper Serving the Scarducci Family Since 1881 ________________________________________________________________ Get your own evilemail.com address at http://www.evilemail.com ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
