Welcome! Obviously I am having trouble replying to this email, it keeps sending spontaneously. In any event, take a look on ebay for used, rebuilt and occasionally new PA2503UR batteries for your Libretto (100CT ?). Congratulations on a great deal for an apparently working Libretto!

Thanks, Lee. :-) I've put a bit over $130 into it so far, getting it operational. Someone put a larger HD in for me and loaded 98se ... in English! ;-D Still having trouble getting it to recognize the floppy drive I bought. I've got a USRobotics 33.6 modem card for it that hooked right up fine. So now I have at least some way to get info in and out. Yes, it is a 100ct, and I'm totally charmed by it. I had a compaq aero once that I thought was small and handy. I drove that one into the ground. But this one is even cuter! Once I have battery power for it I can see having it in my coat pocket all the time. So, here's a question: When I first got the power thingy, I plugged it in, let it charge all night and then ran it on this very battery for about an hour before it demanded to be plugged back in. And now that same battery seems to be dead as a doornail. Did I do something wrong? Are there things I should know that I don't? Also, I thought I saw something on here when I first signed on, written mostly in greek-to-me, about building a longer life battery. Did I imagine this? If it's true, could someone translate that infor into english for me please? Or tell me where to find it? :-) Thanks. Verlie
