Hmmm, I think that may be a little over-generalized.  I bought 3 PA2498URs on 
ebay and transplanted the guts into PA2503UR cases, getting >4 hrs from each. 
 Still going as strong a year or more later.  If one can buy a battery for a 
very reasonable price (in my case, <$15 ea) it's worth the gamble to try ebay.
