Subject: New: MobileMeter (CPU monitor), Sugoi Card - 1 Card PCMCIA LAN/USB/IEEE1394

MobileMeter (probably won't work for the Libretto, but try it out and see -
needs ACPI + W2K/XP; I don't have w2k or xp running on my L110...)

Super-tiny graphical monitoring of CPU processor speed, system temperature,
battery drain in watts, and HD temperature.

At least on my eMachines M5310 laptop, it works great. (Highly recommended
desktop replacement cheap! $999 at www.tigerdirect.com refurb; new models at
www.bestbuy.com for $900-1299. Nice wide-screen 15.4" and great buy!)

Sugoi (great in japanese) card SGC-X3UFL

Cardbus (32-bit) PCMCIA slots only (so limited to L100/L110 models or higher
only).

This type II pcmcia card is the first and only card I've seen anywhere to date
that combines in one card: USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, Ethernet

I recall earlier about how people were trying to stuff all of these individual
adapter cards into their Librettos, and this one will take care of them all!

What an elegant solution to connecting the latest devices to your Libretto with
one card! (too bad they didn't stick in a modem jack in the room left over for
us modem users)

While the USB standard allows a little voltage drop around the 5V standard to
send power to external devices (max 500mA standard), this Sugoi card allows
external devices that can be powered at voltages as low as 4.2V to draw 2000mA
from this card w/an AC adapter (for HDs, scanners, etc.) and powers devices w/o
an adapter at voltages lower than other cards at the standard 500mA draw.
(wonder if it'll reverse charge the system....)
