Now that Palm has officially released the Treo 600 for the TMobile system in the USA, it's now a worthy system to buy if you're interesting in expanding your mobile connectivity options. Here, we have a standard cell phone that's GSM compatible (worldwide USA + Europe mostly, forget Japan). Add a digital camera, keyboard, Palm PDA with internet and email, speakerphone, etc. and drop it into a slim <6oz body. Basically, you can simply take your PC at most offices and toss it into the trash, drop in this treo 600, and you can get most office work done just the same - yep, edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents, browse the web, email, etc. all on the Treo 600. Advantage is now you can take the 'desktop' anywhere in the USA where there is cell phone coverage, and go online anytime 24/7. --- TMobile is just one of many service providers in the USA, but is the most cost-effective provider. eg. you get 1000 minutes at $39.99 + $19.99 for unlimited 24/7 online use! All other providers in the USA are much more expensive. Now, if you just squint hard enough, you might just see Libretto-mini stamped on it where they have the Treo 600 logo now, and yeah, Toshiba should-have, could-have thought of it first if they had extended their Libretto line in more innovative ways. (and yes, now the fun begins! you can now email your wife for help when you run out of toilet paper in the loo!) Basically reviewed as the near 'perfect' PDA + cell phone, the best you can buy today, and the only one that'll do both well on the road all day long.
