Hi Frank, I'm using an L50 with Win98SE. So far, I've tried two Netgear MA401 cards. The first one became superheated after 10-minutes, causing the system to automatically shut down. According to Netgear's troubleshooting FAQ, that could be a manufacturing defect. I sent that card back, received another one and encountered the same problem. Both were working cards, allowing internet connectivity in 10-minute intervals. The MA401 is a 16-bit type II card, and I think it has a 5V rating. After these incidents, however, I'm led to believe they could be 3.3V. As you have stated, the manufacturer's aren't too clear on this sort of info... On a web forum, two cards were recommended, one by Belkin and the other was an IBM Wireless LAN card. I'm not a big fan of Belkin, so I'm going with the IBM one. I found this card for under $20 on eBay. Hopefully, I'll see this card sometime next week and will post my results shortly thereafter. Thanks everyone, for all your responses! dE On Fri, 9 Apr 2004, Franklin Eekhout wrote: > Date: Sat, 10 Apr 2004 09:42:26 +0200 > From: Franklin Eekhout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: Wireless card for the 50CT > > > Hi, > > I use a Compaq WL-110 that works very well in my overclocked to 100 MHz > L50 with Win95B.
