From: "Matt Hanson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>^<<<Wrong approach
For Ghost without EZ-Drive installed, I tested Symantec's
recommendation of running the -fni switch to disable direct IDE support for HDD operations. I experimented just the setup process of imaging a partition, but when I selected the 20GB HDD to create an image for, I got this error message:
. "Warning: Space in partitions exceeds total disk size. . Do you wish to proceed?"
That's wrong... I wish I could go back edit my lists posts after the fact like you can do on some forum software these days.
Symantec said to use -fni >when< drive overlay is installed. I'll test the start of the process and report back.
Sure would like to hear which switches other people have been using to launch Ghost, and how they booted their systems before launching Ghost.
Matt
