Heh... didn't I just repost that, or some of that David? ;-P
Question is though, is just the male plug on the end of that RP34L-5PA-2SC cord available separately from www.digikey.com or somewhere else? I spent a half hour searching through the digikey website and finally gave up from lack of ideas on terms to search the site with.
What I need to make is a converter for the end of my old Xtend PowerXtender adapter. I need the 50/70 type female socket on one side and the 100/110 male plug on the other end.
Digikey must have the parts though. Guess I'll drop them an email and ask.

I know people have asked about the odd power connector on the Libretto 100/110 before and wanted to know where they were made and available for purchase so they could repair/build their own power supplies.
I've simply always assumed they'd do a brief 1 minute search on "HRS" stamped
on the connector itself, and find the correct part on Hirose in the second
minute, then find the current pricing from Digikey in the third and run off to
fix their own supplies.
But then again, seems nobody searches the Internet on the obvious, nor knows
about Digikey, one of the largest electronics parts distributors in the world.
So here goes - all the technical & purchasing information on the power
connector you'd ever want to build/repair your own power supply.
------
http://www.hirose.co.jp/ makes the L100/L110 power connectors. HRS is stamped on the connector.
Pretty certain it's the RP34L-5PA-2SC (1857) connector: http://www.hirose.co.jp/cat2002j/100/j11351611.pdf that mates into the RP34L-5R-2PD in the Libretto 100/110.
www.digikey.com in the USA (one of the biggest electronics parts distributers
anywhere), carries it if you search on the part #s.
RP34L-5PA-2SC $14.86 EACH (connector on power cord end) RP34L-5R-2PD $ 3.11 EACH (connector inside Libretto end)
Looks like they really want people who are trying to build their own power
supplies to pay up!
Anyways, I'm a bit fuzzy headed right now, so double-check the PDF specs to
make sure I'm talking about the right part. It ruler's out to be the same as
my L110 connector...
