Forgive a somewhat silly question but ... what is a capsule hotel?
As for Tokyo, I spent 10 hours there last year (on stopover from Rome to Sydney via JAL), spent most of that time in Akihabara (sp?) ... I only wish I had more time and more yen to spend!

okay found a cheap one for $26 something a night over in asakasa next to the
tawaramachi station. get off at that stop, locate the post office on one of
the corners and the glossy mirrored rounded building across from it. You will
head opposite of these two buildings down the street closest to the mirrored
building (you should see both buildings in sight as you go down the street, one
on each corner). In katakana, not too far (less than 2 minutes to walk),
there's the capsule hotel. must try it out in a few days....
