Hi!

In Europe the ASUS subnotebooks are distributed by JVC:
ASUS S200N = JVC MP-XP7310
ASUS S300N = JVC MP-XV841 resp. MP-XV941, both include an internal DVD
drive.

I would prefer the ASUS over the new Libretto, if I would not prefer the
8.9 inches DIN A5 size convertible touchscreen Flybook over all (the
Ferrari-like red metallic small one): http://www.flybook.cc

2 days ago I had a Flybook in hands (sells for 1900-2000 EUR
[$2400-$2600] new or 1300-1500 EUR used at ebay).
The touchsreen is not anti-reflective, but acceptable.
Performance with Win XP (Home or Pro available) and Transmeta Crusoe
1000 MHz is similar to my Libretto ff1100v with Win 2000 and 300 MHz
overclocked - if I can repair it. The formula could be:
Crusoe eats up 200 MHz for the code morphing software, so the Crusoe
1000 MHz is similar to a 800 MHz Centrino, and Win 2000 is 2x faster
than Win XP.

With an internal DVD built-in (sigh) - and maybe an Efficeon - the
Flybook would be the ultimate device.

My resumée:
The Libretto U100 is nothing special I would consider to buy.
