Did you then manage to renew the insides of the
battery cases and reuse them?
Or was that all you wanted to do, just open them?
I opened up an extended pattery pack for the 50/70 libs that was working,
and another for my 100/110 Libs (well, the MB is defunct at this point) that
was dead. That, so I could swap the guts of the 50/70 over to the 100/110
shell, and power the 100 with it. Innards are the same for both, but the
cases differ slightly.
I learned that from a bunch of listers who had gotten the 50/70 packs off
EBay for that purpose, as they're cheaper and more available than the
100/110 packs.
I never bothered to glue them together again, as when they snap into the
Libby, they're held together pretty well. If at some point I decide to try
using higher capacity cells to up the pack's power, I don't have to deal
with splitting the cases again.
