So if you have an old plastic card or you get issued a new credit card for some place, keep the old one and just use sandpaper on it on make it unreadable to see what the card actually is and usable in any normal context, then write TOSHIBA on it
and you good to go on your next homeservicing on your libby.

A while back I found a thin 1/4" - 3/8" wide strip of plastic from a credit card is great for sliding through the two case shells for the Libby battery packs to break the glue bond between them.

As for the lid, it's all too easy to just grab the mask along the left inside edge with my right and left hand 1st and 2nd finger's fingernails, and then pull upwards and to the left with my thumbs against the left edge of the lid. Once that edge releases, the others follow pretty easily No tools required at all.
