This reminded me of another tidbit from the LL meeting.

They mentioned that soon, all LSL compilation will be done on the server side, and we mentioned Asterick's compiler and how it has/will have optimization, and they got very excited -- they said that if it works well, they'd love to replace their code with it, and that way everyone on SL would benefit from our work.

No timetable on any of that, though.
