Right, it is a bit sad that we have such bugs still after having had it reported for ages, but what can we do. Someone just have to dig in and try to figure out what fails and why and then what to do to fix it... Not very simple due to the irregular nature of this bug, but perhaps mostly we suffer from a lack of developers with time and energy to spend on it.
