Can you change the name of this files?
From: To:
libusb.h libusbx.h
libusb-1.0.a libusbx-1.0.a
libusb-1.0.la libusbx-1.0.la
libusb-1.0.so libusbx-1.0.so
libusb-1.0.so.0 libusbx-1.0.so.0
libusb-1.0.so.0.1.0 libusbx-1.0.so.0.1.0
in that way both libraries libusb-1.0 and libusbx-1.0 can co-exist on the
same system (like Linux), without confusing.
Now both libusb-1.0 and libusbx-1.0 are quite similar but in the future
will may not be compatible with each other.
