Hello

I want to suggest to add the serverless messaging http://retroshare.sf.net
to licq

both apps are Qt so they could be merged.

Hi,
we always welcome tips and ideas for ways to enhance Licq. However, I wouldn't expect to see RetroShare supported in Licq anytime soon.

After a quick search it seems that RetroShare neither has a clear protocol specification nor a separated library to let other applications use the protocol.
I did find the following in their wiki though:
"RetroShare uses a very simple IM chat system at the moment. This should be extended to make features such as "Groups", History etc possible within RetroShare. This is probably best acheived via using some existing messenger protocol. If none exists, a new one should be designed." This clearly indicates that the RetroShare protocol is still in development, making it even harder to keep a working implementation as it will likely required a lot of maintaining as the protocol changes.

Also, Licq is an instant messenger client where as RetroShare main purpose seems to be file sharing.

That being said, anyone wanting to implement a RetroShare plugin for Licq is of course welcome to do so. As development have been slow for quite some time I don't think any of the current developers will take on a task like this, but we will of course provide what help we can to anyone who wants to develop for Licq.
