I don't know why this is, but I'm seeing a similar thing (also with qt-plugin compiled against KDE from CVS). On my system licq grabs a heap of cpu every now and then (not constantly). So it's not unusable, just very annoying;sometimes I hear the sound to indicate that I've got a message, but then I might have to wait maybe 20 seconds for the gui to "unfreeze" so I can read it. One point to add is that if I have a network log window open, when the gui "freezes up" like that, the information in the network log scrolls up, but no new information comes in (i.e. only white space scrolls in). Then once the gui starts responding again, the new network log messages appear where they should be (i.e. the white space is replaced by characters). This seems to indicate to me that licq is tickling a bug in one of QT or KDE. I'd guess it's in KDE, but it should be simple enough to find out . . . if this gets unbearable enough I'll just recompile it without kde enabled and test that. cheers, Toojays -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Messages with missing or bad signatures may have been forged or modified in transit! iEYEARECAAYFAjyHLyQACgkQ0BW7kPcXjRUHSQCfcAwcGuEHsSPV9tRLIhn0pPDX MXQAnjq+saQDvkQjzADVSDUmgTOj0dXI =2pe+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Licq-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/licq-devel
