I had this problem in the past when I was using a machine that was crashing 
and corrupting filesystem..

This occurs by an inconsistency in the Licq DB..

Somewhere it says a message is UNread, and the other says all messages are 
read..

Don't remember if it's licq.conf, ##.uin (from the guy with the message) or 
somewhere else..

Just had to find this location and turn it to zero.. and Licq stopped 
crashing..

I remember that I found the explanation in the web.. :)
