vector = vector.h

The only difference is that the .h notation is deprecated and
gcc3.something enforces this.

The example given in the autoconf docu is when using a comma in a
string, it might be misunderstood as a delimiting comma. So the docu
recommends always quoting everything that's not simple text. I'm no
autoconf guru myself, so I recommend you look it up if you want to know
more.
