Hi,

when building kde-gui on older distributions which ship old kde 2 and if qt is 
installe with- and without threads, then building the kde-gui will be ok, but 
it will segfault on startup.
this is, because kde-gui automatically gets linked agains libqt-mt if it is 
found. but kde 2 normally is linked against libqt => without threading 
support.

the solution would be to link kde-gui against libqt when the kde-version is 
smaller than 3.

I would suggest to modify the relevant autoconf files so that they honor this 
fact. unfortunately i do not know how to do this. anyone else here who has 
some experience with this?
