I just realized that I can't do a direct connection (winmodem, here, no support under Linux.) But I've tried another thing. I blocked all the TCP traffic in my firewall so I get: 03:05:15: [INI] KDE GUI configuration. 03:05:15: [INI] Geometry configuration (877, 379) (208 x 463) 03:05:15: [INI] Applying Kapriccio skin. 03:05:15: [SRV] Requesting logon (#15347)... 03:05:15: [SRV] Connecting to login server. 03:05:15: [SRV] Resolving login.icq.com port 5190... 03:05:16: [SRV] ICQ server found at 205.188.179.233:5190. 03:05:16: [SRV] Opening socket to server. 03:05:16: [ERR] Unable to connect to 205.188.179.233:5190: Transport endpoint is not connected. 03:05:16: [SRV] Connecting to login server failed, failing event 03:05:22: [SRV] Requesting logon (#15348)... Now you see: "Unable to connect to..." (I'm not using a proxy here.) Now I try to go online. In theory, we should see "Unable to connect" (or am I missing something obvious?) but I don't see it, in fact, I still have the same issue: it hangs on "Requesting logon (#....)..." and there's no network activity (ethereal shows no packets.) This is fresh CVS no patches. Regards, Norberto PS: after 10 minutes.... I've forced a logoff.... 03:05:22: [SRV] Requesting logon (#15348)... 03:11:15: [SRV] Logging off.
