Then you probably don't have it.
NPTL requires Kernel 2.6 or the backport from redhat. But as already stated, 
redhat's backport is not useful here.
And Debian is known to try to be as stable as possible, NPTL is not stable at 
all, i don't think that it will make it into Debian that soon ;-)

I sent a quick note to the gentoo developer (pYrania) in the forum, asking him 
to test it. fortunately he lives next to the town where i live, chances are 
good he's willing to help us :)
