I installed a newer version from gnupg.org but even when I tell "configure" where to find them, it does not find the newer libraries, so I think the older versions are causing problems and I am unable to remove the older versions without also removing alot of other packages. I have had similar problems before but I only needed to remove one or two development packages to fix them, not twenty packages. I don't think there is a way around this mess on Debian: *** You need libgcrypt to build this program. ** This library is for example available at *** ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/alpha/libgcrypt/ *** (at least version 1.1.92 is required.) *** configure: error: *** *** Required libraries not found. Please consult the above messages *** and install them before running configure again. I have libgcrypt 1.1.93 installed in /usr/local/lib but older libs are installed in /usr/lib and I can't remove them without breaking stuff, lots of stuff. -- Andrew ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
