Hmm, I just tested it out and it opened up without any problems. Can
you send me some packet dumps from -d31 when you try to get a
connection with SSL?

It should be fine, there is no reason to print out those packets
because nothing is readable to me if you submit a broken packet. If
you want to be sure, check it with ethereal, which will sniff it at
the wire level.
