Hi list, One thing that I think would really help the gui discussion is a detailed list on what different plugins may want to do with the gui. Personally, I think it's difficult to discuss pros/cons of different solutions without something concreate to base it on.
I have started the list below (pretty short, but I'm feeling too tired for anything more elaborate). Please add plugins and actions to the list.
