Let's continue this discussion... I'll be moving the list to the wiki, since its hard to maintain a list in an e-mail. But I'd like to discuss it here. Basically, do the changes on the wiki, then send an e-mail here to discuss it.
I the item's that Erik proposed a few months ago, and expanded on it a little bit. One of the main concerns is how much the plugin's can get from the main GUI. For example, the shake-window plugin. What is ideal is for the plugin to be written with Qt but still work on a gui that is written in GTK. It should be possible, if the GUI gives the XServer's window id to the shake-window plugin (SW) and then SW modifies the Window via the Qt interface. Not sure if this is possible, but I think so. Anyways, here is the URL for us to work on: http://wiki.licq.org/index.php/Plugin_API#GUI_Considerations I'll be adding more when I get time, (still cleaning up from moving).
