Uehm, could it be that you let licq run in background? couse then i /think/ that
it'll try to connect every 10 minutes or so, and then AOL's timer will be reset.
Just shut down licq or so.

I dont know what exactly goes on, but it sounds strange to me that only you on
linux is some kind of blocked :)
