I have a thought about that; I've played with the idea myself but never
tried to actually do it. The key is that Licq's "OnEvent" is completely
configurable. Most people probably just use it to play sounds, but
instead of using "/usr/bin/play" and putting sound files as the
parameters I could put "~/bin/licqevent" and as the parameter "%u". That
would cause the UIN to be passed to my own event script, which would then
use the UIN to decide what to do.
One could get very complex there and use one script to process all
events, giving something like "url %u" or "msg %u", or have several
different scripts like licqurl, licqmsg, etc. I think you get the
picture there -- the point is that the means of doing exactly what you
want is already provided, and with a little Bash or Perl or whatever you
could write a script to do it.

If I had more than three contacts, I would probably have done this
already. :)

Good luck,
