If I leave ICQ lite running, it will plant thousands and I mean thousands of .htm files in my windows98 temp directory. In one day, for example, over 9000 .htm files, each over 700 bytes, were placed in my directory. I sent a request to ICQ about this and all that resulted was a reply that ICQ inserts .htm files, no suggestion or acknowledgement that it was a problem. I don't shut my machine down except for the occasional reboot when I change from Linux back into windows. I don't have the problem with Linux but there are a couple of programs I have to run in Windows. Anyone else have this problem and what did you do about it?
