That's good to know, I will get one of those next time I need to buy a 
soundcard.  What happens here is that if I am using some application that 
uses sound (such as xmms), the sounds from other apps (Licq for example) will 
wait until I am done with xmms.  As soon as I stop using xmms, all the Licq 
event sounds that were "waiting" will now play sequentially.  It was rather 
amusing when it happened the first time and I thought I had many ICQ 
messages, but I had none, since I had already read them, the sounds that were 
triggered by those events just had not played.
